Bread Fridays: Ojos or Eyes

Ojos Mexican Bread

Don't you just want to eat one of these right now? They're called ojos or “eyes,” but some folks know them as donas rellenas or “filled doughnuts.” But whatever you call them, one things for sure, they're delicious.  Soft and sugary on the outside, creamy and sweet on the inside.  The real, bona fide cream is what makes the difference here. Make sure you have a glass of milk next to you.

I don't want you to miss one sweet or savory bite featured in this on-going series. So if you love bread like I do be sure to check out the estropajos, cacahuates, bolillos, orejas, libros, conchas, soles, chinos, pay de queso, roscas chinas, puerquitos and huacales, too.

Have a delicious Friday,

Enjoy,
