Pour one cup of water in a pot over medium heat. Add the sugar and mix until well dissolved, set aside and let cool down.
Place the watermelon cubes and three cups of water in a blender and mix very well (depending on the size of your blender, you may need to do this two times).
Add the sugar water and lime juice. Mix well.
Pour the blended watermelon water into a two liter (~2 qt) pitcher, add the sugar water and the other 5 cups of water. Add the lime juice and mix well. Cool down in the fridge and serve super cold or on ice.
Divide the blended watermelon and sugar water into 2 two-liters (~2 qt each) pitchers, add the other 4 cups of water (2 per pitcher). If you have a big container (4 quarts) even better. Cool down in the fridge and serve super cold or on ice.
