Puede ser blanco, rojo, verde, poblano, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Por eso me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n que ac\u00e1 en Estados Unidos al arroz rojo le llaman arroz rojo mexicano, o simplemente arroz mexicano. \u00bfQu\u00e9 te parece?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Este es un arroz muy vers\u00e1til con un ligero sabor a jitomate. Para el sabor tradicional mexicano yo no lo sustituir\u00eda por ning\u00fan otro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tomates:<\/strong> o jitomates como yo los conozco. mis favoritos son el guaje o Roma. Si no consigues puedes usar cherry o de bola. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aceite:<\/strong> yo uso aceite de oliva, tu puedes usar el de tu gusto siempre y cuando sea de un sabor neutro como canola, de girasol, de c\u00e1rtamo, o de ma\u00edz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condimentos:<\/strong> cebolla, ajo y sal. Es siempre mejor usar cebolla y ajo frescos, pero si no tienes puedes usar en polvo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Caldo de pollo:<\/strong> este caldo siempre le da un sabor riqu\u00edsimo al arroz. Si no tienes caldo l\u00edquido puedes usar consom\u00e9 de pollo en polvo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si quieres preparar arroz vegano, usa caldo de verduras, o si no tienes, agua. Pero si usas s\u00f3lo agua recuerda sazonar bien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Verduras:<\/strong> lo tradicional es agregar ch\u00edcharos y zanahorias. Las opiniones son muy encontradas y a veces un poco extremas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfYo? Yo siempre lo lavo, por dos razones principales, la primera es para limpiarlo. Este es un paso importante: ayudar\u00e1 a que los granos no se peguen demasiado unos con otros y les dar\u00e1 una capa m\u00e1s de sabor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sabor del jitomate es a gusto propio. A m\u00ed personalmente me gusta un arroz que s\u00ed, sabe a jitomate, pero no tan fuerte que opaca los otros sabores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usa un jitomate por taza de arroz crudo, pero si quieres un poco m\u00e1s de sabor a tomate, usa uno y medio. En mi opini\u00f3n, dos tomates por taza de arroz crudo pierden balance ya que el sabor resulta un poco m\u00e1s \u00e1cido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Errores Comunes al Hacer el Arroz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Usar una proporci\u00f3n incorrecta de arroz y l\u00edquido:<\/strong> lo correcto es dos tazas de l\u00edquido por una taza de arroz crudo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La excepci\u00f3n es cuando lo cueces en arroceras o Instant Pot, en estos casos sigue las instrucciones de tu olla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Revolver el arroz constantemente:<\/strong> esto producir\u00e1 un arroz quebrado y apelmazado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El arroz se puede revolver siempre y cuando est\u00e9 flotando en l\u00edquido. Una vez sazonado se debe dejar cocinar sin mover para nada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No ajustar la sal adecuadamente<\/strong>: tomando en consideraci\u00f3n el error anterior. Una vez que el arroz se empieza a cocinar no se puede revolver, as\u00ed que es importante probar el saz\u00f3n cuando todav\u00eda est\u00e1 todo el l\u00edquido en la olla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poner sal cuando el arroz ya est\u00e1 medio cocido o despu\u00e9s de cocido es complicado porque no se puede revolver de manera uniforme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cocinar a fuego alto:<\/strong> una vez que empieza a hervir, se debe cocinar a fuego super lento, esto ayudar\u00e1 a que el l\u00edquido se vaya absorbiendo lentamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si usas fuego alto, lo m\u00e1s seguro es que el arroz se pegue o queme en el fondo y los granos superiores queden firmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No dejarlo reposar:<\/strong> El reposo, tapado, ayuda a terminar el cocimiento con el vapor atrapado. Procura guardarlo entre 1 y 2 horas despu\u00e9s de servirlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El departamento de agricultura recomienda el almacenamiento en el refrigerador por no m\u00e1s de 4 d\u00edas o bien en el congelador hasta por 6 meses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recalienta en el microondas o en una caserola a\u00f1adiendo un poquit\u00edn de agua para hidratarlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si lo congelaste, descong\u00e9lalo en el refrigerador un d\u00eda antes, nunca lo descongeles afuera del refri. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahora s\u00ed, vamos a hacerlo.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"recipe\"><\/div><div id=\"wprm-recipe-container-99072\"
