Hour of code - mamalatinatips.com

Do you have kids, grandkids, nephews, or nieces? Then please read on because today my tip is for them! And please make sure to check out the STEM giveaway at the end of this post to find out how to enter for a chance to win a prize worth more than $100!

This week Dec 7-12 is Computer Science Education Week and the whole world is celebrating by inviting kids ages 4 and older for an Hour of Code to introduce them to computer science. They can participate from home, or you and your kids can look for a place close to home. Schools, and other organizations, are providing this service and it is FREE! We actually just signed our kids up for a free workshop at our local Apple Store for one hour of coding for kids.

Visit code.org to see resources available for you and your family, and check out my post about coding for girls to see additional resources especially designed for them.
