Sponsored by Single Edition on behalf of La Brea Bakery. However, my comments, opinions, and my love for my mom are my own.
A few days ago I shared La Brea Bakery’s Thanksgiving Hero Contest. They are delivering fully catered meals to 5 finalists across the nation on Thanksgiving.
Do you have somebody in mind you would like to nominate?
When I think about heroes in my life, I always think first of my mom. We’re very close. We’ve always had a great relationship, even during my crazy teenage years. I know she is always there for me, she is a great listener and she always knows when to be firm (or soft) with me.
That’s what one hopes from a mother right? But something that has always stayed with me, since I was a little girl, is my mom’s mission for helping others. She always helped at my school, and in her church, and with any neighbors in need. She always goes the extra mile to help and serve others. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
My mom never lets us down, not even if it means that she has to sacrifice something. She is my hero.
Who are the heroes in your life? Do you have a family member or a friend who maybe has to work on Thanksgiving, serving others and missing out on Thanksgiving with the family? Here’s your opportunity to show them how much their sacrifice means to you by nominating your hero for the contest. But do it fast, the nomination period ends this Sunday, November 15th, 2015.
Please come back and let me know if your hero is one of the lucky finalists.
