Feeling Poorly

Thanks to the great folks at Kimberly-Clark for sponsoring this post. My comments, opinions, and love for soft facial tissues are my own.

A couple of weeks ago my older boy arrived home from school and said those words a mother never wants to hear, “mama, I don’t feel well.” Sure enough, just an hour later he was running a fever and was complaining of a sore throat. And, of course, as often happens, my younger boy got it, too, followed by my husband and then me. It wasn’t fun at all. First came the fever, the sore throat, the cough and then the runny nose which lasted for a week. We were sure glad to have those Kleenex boxes around!

That’s why I’m so pleased to be having this giveaway, because one lucky reader out there is going to be in good shape for the next round of sniffles.

Plus, did you know that Kleenex® Brand is the only facial tissue featuring Box Tops for Education? It has awarded $13 million to schools through the program since 2006!  Cool!!

  1. One tip keeping my grandsons healthy this flu and cold season is to wash, wash, wash those hands! We wash immediately after my grandson gets home from preschool before he touches his toys, etc, in the house. We also wash before we eat any snacks or meals!

  2. I help my kids to stay healthy by washing there hands constanly keep the house clean most of the time and spray Lysol on doors knob and entire house also I always keep a box of Kleenex in evey room like living room every bedroom even I keep a box in the garage and every car.

  3. Apply hand sanitizer after shopping and using grocery carts…this is helpful for kids too!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  5. My best tip is to have the kids wash their hands often. Even when they come home from school, the first thing I remind them to do, is wash their hands.
    Thanks so much.

  6. I send my kids to school with antibacterial hand wipes so they can clean their hands before snack and lunch. They usually remember.

  7. I have my son eat one fruit of his choice in the morning to keep up his immune system. I also give him one packet of emergen-c when he is showing early symptoms of becoming sick.

  8. We make sure to wash our hands constantly throughout the day and I make sure to carry hand sanitizer with us in my purse.

  9. my kids keep hand sanitizer in there book bags and I keep it in my purse and at home I wipe down the door knobs and surfaces with Clorox wipes

  10. I keep hand sanitizer in their backpacks and lunch boxes so that they keep their hands clean while at school and I try to wash the sheets and towels in the house more often so that germs aren’t lingering about! Thanks!

  11. We buy Wet Ones Antibacterial hand wipes pocket size singles. I carry them in my purse, we have them stashed in our glove boxes. Hopefully that keeps us healthy this flu and cold season.

  12. I think the best tip for helping keep kids healthy this flu and cold season is one that has been stated many times… wash hands often.

  13. One way I keep my child healthy is by making sure they get 100% vitamin C every day. My child doesn’t really like fruit/fruit juice – never has. Put any veggie in front of them & it will disappear. It definitely helps prevent my child from getting sick too often.

  14. Wash hand frequently and keep hand sanitizer with you at all times. I never leave the house without hand sanitizer because you never know how many germs are on a door knob, stair railing, desk used by students, etc.

  15. Thanks for the giveaway…teach them the importance of washing their hands: at school, when they come home from school, etc.
