The Lion King – Giveaway

Para español da click aquí.

It seems just yesterday I mentioned The Lion King was coming to theaters in 3D.  Did you go to see it?  It has been in theaters for just a little over a week and has been amazingly popular, crushing pre-release estimates from the studio and industry analysts!  You still have a few more days to go in case you haven’t. And then, get ready because The Lion King Diamond Edition will hit stores Tuesday,  October 4th, 2011, in several versions:  4 Disc Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 2D, DVD and Digital Copy), 2 Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray 2D and DVD), 8 Disc Trilogy (The Lion King, The Lion King 1 1/2, and The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride).  The one-disc DVD edition will be available on November 15, 2011.

We just watched at home and it brought back wonderful memories and I was happy to share it with my kids.  It was the first time for them and they laughed, sang, felt sad, and then happy again!  We had a lovely time together.  The special features reveal some interesting details about the movie.  I recommend getting the Diamond Edition of this amazing movie while you can.

If you’ve never had the chance to see it, The Lion King is rated G, and here is a synopsis:

An unforgettable story, breathtaking animation, beloved characters and award-winning music sets the stage for The Lion King, a Disney classic that follows the adventures of Simba, the feisty lion cub who “just can’t wait to be king.” But his envious Uncle Scar has plans for his own ascent to the throne, and he forces Simba’s exile from the kingdom. Alone and adrift, Simba soon joins the escapades of a hilarious meerkat named Timon and his warmhearted warthog pal, Pumbaa. Adopting their carefree lifestyle of “Hakuna Matata,” Simba ignores his real responsibilities until he realizes his destiny and returns to the Pride Lands to claim his place in the “Circle of Life.” .

I couldn’t watch the trailer because it said private. My favorite scene from Lion King is when Raffiki holds up Simba and all the wild animals bow to the new king.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
