¿Has escuchado de Vme?  ¿lo has visto?

A year ago the USA switched from analog tv to high definition tv.

I don't have cable at home (I'm sure I've said that multiple times 🙂 )  so we bought a converter and we soon started enjoying HDTV for free in our home.  One of the first things I noticed, besides the new channel numbers, were a couple of channels I'd never seen before.  One of them soon became a favorite, Vme.  Have you heard of Vme?  Have you seen it?

Vme is part of the PBS family, an all Spanish channel offering a variety of high quality programming.  From Food to Music, from Children to Travel, you can find something for every person in your family.

We fell in love with the educational shows for kids, my sons love Jim de la Luna (Lunar Jim), Peep, Super Numeros (Number Jacks), among others, and I'm happy because they get to watch great programming in Spanish!!

I love the cooking shows like pasteleria.mex and my husband joins me when I watch Estudio Billboard, a wonderful program featuring top latin artists who perform and talk about their lives in a very cozy and relaxed environment.

And why am I telling you all this?  Well, first because some of you may not have heard about Vme and I like to share when I find something worth seeing, and second, because Vme is the first company in the USA to sponsor a large group of 7 latinas- Melanie ModernMami, Carol NYCityMama, Carrie TikiTikiBlog, Ana and Roxana SpanglishBaby, Rory MamáContemporánea and me!– in attending one of the most important conference for women who blog in the USA.

When we were in NY for the conference, Vme invited us to “Vme Contigo en Tu Blog,” a lunch where we had the pleasure of speaking with the people behind Vme, like Carmen DiRienzo, President and CEO, Guillermo Sierra, Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer, and Doris Vogelmann, Director of Programming.

We heard about great programs coming soon and connected with other latina bloggers.  Little by little, I will be sharing with you this information and I hope you give Vme a try if you haven't already, I'm sure you will love it as much as we do.

Thanks Vme again for being one step ahead and for valuing the work we bloggers do, I'm honored to have been a part of this group.

Here's how to connect with V-me!
