Making and sharing magical moments is what summer is all about. So the beginning of summer is the perfect time to capture and share special moments, such as the end of my son’s first T-ball season, with family and friends.
We had the whole team and their families over for a Disney Junior inspired ice cream social complete with Sofia the First paper tiaras and crowns, shiny Mickey Mouse decorations hanging overhead, place mats with fun activities featuring Disney Junior characters including Sofia the First, Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Mickey Mouse himself, plus a whole lot more.
We made princess wands out of grapes and watermelon and pirate swords out of grapes and cantaloupe.
And after some yummy bean tostadas with guacamole, cheese, and salsa, we started up the ice cream scoop and served up some delicious cups of ice cream made to order.
The kids had a great time playing…
And kids and parents alike had a blast figuring out their pirate names, as you see in the video below:
My pirate name was Mad Holystone! Sounds pretty good, right?
We had a few party favors, too, including word search and activity books, Disney Junior water bottles, Jake and the Never Land Pirates posters and Disney Junior stickers with some of the kids’ favorite characters.
Tell Your Own Magical Story
Disney Junior features heartfelt characters, like Sofia, Jake, Doc McStuffins, and Mickey, fun adventures, and magical storytelling that kids and parents love, so it only makes sense that they would come up with the #DisneyJuniorFamilia Photo-A-Day Challenge, so we can tell our own magical stories, too. Submit your photos according to each day’s theme on the Disney Junior Familia photo app on the Disney Junior Facebook page, and one of your photos could be chosen to be featured on TV! How fun is that? Be sure to check that out.
And don’t forget to watch your favorite Disney Junior friends every morning on Disney Junior on Disney Channel!
Have a magical summer!
