Thanks to the folks at Kimberly-Clark for their generous support of this post. As always, my comments and opinions are my own.
In 2007, my life and the potty training process crossed paths for the first time. I can’t say it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but I can’t say it was a picnic, either. I remember reading a lot about it, getting ready, preparing my son for the process, and then getting frustrated because my son simply wasn’t ready.
I even wrote about it back then! If you are in the process now, or plan to be soon, you may want to check out my series. Here, I talk about potty training stages, then about tips and products, and lastly about situations that might arise during the process.
Between the diapers stage and the underwear stage, pull ups were our best friends. My kids loved the fun designs and I loved the convenience. I also appreciated seeing my kids going to the bathroom by themselves knowing that pull-ups made the process easier.
Now, I wish there had been an app back then like the Big Kid App. Listen to this, if you’re not familiar with it, it has a big kid timer where Sully and Mike from Monsters University help remind your child it’s time for a potty break. Your child can also get a surprise call from one of his favorite Disney characters at potty time. And you get a virtual library of potty training articles written by experts. I repeat. I wish I had had an app like this years ago.
But it’s here now, so go get it! You can also visit the Pull-Ups website and Pull-Ups Facebook page for more information and tips. And…. you can also participate in today’s giveaway for your chance to win the following:
