This post was made possible by the good folks at Kimberly-Clark. My opinions and my need to clean up plenty of messes in my kitchen are my own.

Ok, everyone, as promised I have a great giveaway for all you moms and dads who have messy kids. You know who you are.

This giveaway features the Viva paper towel, which, by the way, I had the opportunity to test on a very big, legitimate spill yesterday. By legitimate, I do not mean an intentional spill-so-I-could-write-about-it-spill. I mean a real, daily life, unintentional spill.

Viva Paper Towels

You know how the first moment after a spill sometimes you just freeze, staring in disbelief? Well, I grabbed a paper towel when I came to my senses and was shocked by how soft it was. I placed it on top of a giant red puddle and went back to get another.

But the thing is when I got back to the mess, the first paper towel had absorbed it all already. Very unexpected. The next thing I noticed is the towel wasn’t falling apart in my hand, so I rinsed it off really well to get all the red out, and then wiped down all the surfaces in the kitchen. That’s one tough paper towel!

Starting now in September, parents can visit Pick Up the Values on Facebook to find tips and tricks from real parents with real life solutions that will help stretch their budgets and make it easy for them to put more of what they need in their basket.

And remember you can also visit this Pick Up the Values link to find coupons, too.

Now the giveaway!

Win It!

Our worst cleanup was frosting and sprinkles from a food fight during cookie decorating party. Even though it was a total mess, it is one of our favorite memories.

When my son was 3, he was playing and I was on the phone with my mom. It got really quiet and I said hang on mom, I need to check on Benjamin. I walk through the dining room and look into the kitchen where my son is standing on a big pile of flour, syrup, eggs, spaghetti noodles and sugar. He said Look mommy I make a cake! That is the biggest mess that my son has ever made.

A whole squished up Pop-Tart in the fold-down console, which was folded back up, in the backseat of my car…found a week later.

My daughter spilled an entire pitcher of sweet tea- it was in the the dining room and got on the table, on the floor, around chair legs and table legs- I could have really used Viva paper towels then!!

My daughter got nail polish everywhere and also colored on my laptop and counter with a permanent marker. VERY destructive. Always has been.

Thanks for the giveaway…toughest kid mess involved our daughter dropping a bowl of eggs off a kitchen counter smashing every one, then the dog coming along and lapping up the mess, and deciding that it would be a good idea to roll around in it as well before tracking paw prints on the carpeting.

The toughest mess my kids made was with spaghetti and meatsauce. When the sauce got in the carpet it permanently stained it. What a reminder of a terrible mess!

The time my daughter (then a toddler) snuck into the kitchen and covered herself head to toe in peanut butter!
