Latino Children Reading Program

I am so happy to share this with you!

Latinas for Latino Literature have launched the Latino Children’s Summer Reading Program and you can be part of this free program. The program provides support, resources and tips on how to help your kids enjoy reading, plus they have great incentives.

Monica, Viviana and Carla, the women behind the Latinas for Latino Literature website say on their website, “We challenge your kids, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to read a minimum of 8 books. We are using technology such as YouTube videos and Google Hangouts to reinforce the reading basics, keeping students engaged and having fun. To reward them for their hard work, we’re giving out prizes!…”

I was checking out the prizes and they look great, including school supplies, books, and even some Chromebooks and Nexus 7 tablets for older students. The program is available in English and Spanish and has a large group of supporters like google.com, latinamom.me, PBS kids and more. I invite you to register your kids now! Don’t wait, registration closes in just 3 more days.

Register for the Latino Children’s Summer Reading Program here and then start reading!
