A couple of years ago, I had the good fortune to visit Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. During the visit, I was treated to a sneak peek of their new projects and Wreck-it Ralph was one of them. I thought the concept was fun and I was sure my kids would love it, because they love both video games and movies, so for them, a movie about video games is the best of both worlds.
Here are 3 reasons to check out Wreck-it Ralph on Blu-ray/DVD:
1. Checking out scenes that didn’t make it to the final cut is always fun and interesting. You will love Extreme Easy Living 2, a land we don’t see in the movie, but you can see and enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
2. One word, intermission! I love the intermissions in Disney movies and Wreck-it Ralph’s is great. When the film is paused, say, to go get more popcorn, host Chris Hardwick appears and takes you through a series of video segments like this one, where he reveals some hidden Mickeys in the movie.
3. Enjoy Disney’s Academy Award© winning short, Paperman, one of the sweetest shorts I have ever seen.
The film itself is a treat. It’s a colorful adventure, full of humor, with quirky characters and a lot of heart. Plus it comes with subtitles and audio in English, Spanish and French, we love this for practicing our Spanish.
