Nicholas Sparks’ novels are favorites of mine, so I’m pleased the new film The Lucky One is based on one of Sparks’ bestsellers.
It’s the story of US Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Zac Efron), who, after his third tour of duty in Iraq, travels to North Carolina to find the woman (Taylor Schilling) he believes saved his life. The film explores fate, loss, luck, and love as two lives connect through a chance event half a world away.
Sounds romantic, doesn’t it? The Lucky One hits theaters next Friday, April 20th.
