A lot of friends and family have asked me to share my guacamole recipe, enjoy!

Guacamole tradicional by

Guacamole is a very popular Mexican dish/dip, very versatile, nutritious, and delicious.  It´s a must at every party and super easy to make.  My boys love it, they add it to quesadillas, tacos, tostadas, and, of course, with chips.  Here is the recipe, enjoy.

Mexican combo

Serves 6

  • 1-2 Roma tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1-2 serrano peppers*
  • Cilantro
  • 3 medium avocados
  • 1-2 key limes
  • Salt to taste
Finely chop tomatoes, onion, serrano peppers and cilantro.  Combine.

cilantro, onion, tomato and peppers -

In a bowl, combine tomato mixture with chopped avocado pieces, the juice of one lime, and salt. Taste it, you can add a little bit more lime juice if necessary.  That´s it, I told you it was fast and easy.

If you are not eating it right away, I recommend covering it with plastic, making sure the plastic is touching every inch of the top surface.  This way it will keep its vibrant green color.

I usually chop the peppers and leave them on another plate, that way I can just serve them to those who like spicy foods. If you don’t like spicy food, you can omit them, the flavor of the guacamole will change a little but it still will be great!
Buen Provecho!
