Cars 2 in Stores Today – Giveaway

My children very patiently counted the days for Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2 to open in theaters last Summer.  They were saying it was their favorite movie before they’d even seen it!  Now they are ecstatic because Cars 2 is on Blu-ray/DVD and they’ve already watched it twice!

If you haven’t had the chance to see it yet, I think you will be amazed by its incredible detail.  When watching there are moments when I forget it is an animated movie.  Every scene is so richly drawn it is impossible to notice everything on the first go around.  One thing to note is it is probably most appropriate for kids about 7 years and older, the plot is fast paced and more complex than the original Cars.

I really like having the movie at home, because each time I watch it, I discover new things.  Director John Lasseter said in an interview “My wife…always said don’t make a movie for the first time someone sees it. Make it for the one hundreth time a parent has to suffer through it on video…” and I think they did a great job with this one.
