Last week I wrote about the new hp Pavilion dv6, if you missed my post, you can check it out here.

Photobucket Remember, thanks to our friends at hp and Intel, Mamá Latina Tips will be giving away one hp Pavilion dv6 to a lucky Mama Latina Tips reader soon!

Today I’m going to share a few of hp Pavilion dv6´s cool features:

HP TrueVision Webcam

With most of my family in México, the webcam has become my second best friend.  I walk around the house with the dv6 so my family can see and talk to my kids in their natural environment.

If you have kids going to college, this is a great way to keep in touch.  The hp pavilion dv6 comes with the hp TrueVision Webcam which has image-sensing technology that adjusts to the light to provide the best video images possible.  Here is a video to see it in action right here.

HP SimplePass

When I got my hp pavilion dv6 I noticed this ¨button¨ on the lower right corner of my keyboard.  I learned it was part of hp SimplePass.  This is very cool!  How many passwords do you have? Do you remember all of them or do you have to write them down somewhere? Have your kids ever forgotten a password?  SimplePass stores your passwords, the “button” I mentioned is a mini scanner that “reads” your fingerprint.  With just the swipe of your finger it logs you into your favorites sites with your user name and password.  Check out the video:

HP CoolSense

This technology detects where your computer is being used (on the couch, on a desk, sitting in the grass) and automatically adjusts the cooling.  It also includes hp thermal assistant software that allows you to choose your cooling preferences and it adapts when you move your computer from place to place.  Check out the video:

What do you think? Cool eh?

Don’t forget to come back and check out more features and find out details about the giveaway tomorrow so you can participate for a chance to win!  Very exciting!!

Disclosure: Mama Latina Tips received a Pavilion dv6 notebook from Hewlett-Packard and Intel to facilitate this review.  As always the opinions and comments in this article are solely my own.

I love the web cam feature. When either my husband or I are out of town, we communicate via web cams.
