Baja Splash Cultural Festival at The Aquarium of the Pacific – Giveaway!

The Aquarium of the Pacific celebrates its 10th Anniversary Baja Splash Cultural Festival on Saturday & Sunday, September 24-25, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Located at 100 Aquarium Way in Long Beach, California, the stunning Aquarium of the Pacific is home to a variety of aquatic animals including fish, shark, otter, ray, see lion, and more.

Every time I go I discover something new.  My kids love touching the rays and sharks and playing in the water park next to the shark lagoon.  They also love seeing the otters, of course.

In just a few days, the Aquarium celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with the colorful Baja Splash Cultural Festival.  Enjoy cultural folk dances from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and more.  Also, enjoy Mariachi performances, interactive music from Central and South America, free kids’ crafts and face painting, ethnic cuisine, Latin cooking demos, bilingual programs from diver shows to talks given by animal experts from World Wildlife Fund Mexico.  And, as if that weren’t enough, tickets to the Museum of Latin American Art will be given away 10 minutes after every hour and even more lucky guests will win 10 special prizes.

Also, guests who were born on the 10th of any month will get in FREE! (bring valid picture ID for adults or birth certificate for kids)

Friday evenings from September 9th through December 30th, 2011, the public is invited to get close to the ocean’s ultimate predators at Shark Lagoon Nights for free!  Guests will have the opportunity to touch more than 150 sharks and see large sharks at the Shark Lagoon exhibit from 6pm to 9 pm.
