Life with kids is always full of surprises and memorable moments.  Anything and everything can happen in my house with two small boys in it, most of the time there is a lot of energy flowing around here, but there are tender moments as well.  Today I would like to share one of my own memorable moments.

Cooking!

I love to cook and I love it even more when my kids want to help me.  Cooking is fun and always teaches something.  The last time we cooked together we made pizzas from scratch.  The kids got to choose their favorite toppings and of course they especially loved getting their hands messy… and I let them.  I just kept a bottle of soap in the kitchen, like Johnson´s Naturals hand & face foam, for my kids’ tender hands, so they didn’t need to run to the bathroom dropping bits of food on the way.

Now it is your turn.  Would you like to share one of your memorable moments with your kids?

Just to make it interesting, let’s throw a giveaway into the mix, courtesy of our friends at Johnson’s.  One lucky Mama Latina Tips reader will win:

  • A $50 gift card
  • A Johnson’s bag
  • Johnson’s baby products (value aprox $50)

Cool, don’t you think?  To participate for your chance to win,  you just need to tell me your most memorable moment with your kids and include a tip on how you use Johnson’s products.

That’s it, super easy, good luck!

This giveaway will end on Thursday, June 23th, at 12 noon PST.  Open to US residents.  I will choose the memorable moment I like the best and I will notify the winner by email.  Winner must respond to notification email within 8 hours or a new winner will be chosen.  Void where prohibited.  Entries/Comments that do not follow the submission guidelines will be invalid.

And before I say goodbye for today let me remind you again about Johnson’s Treasuring Everyday Joy™ Campaign, which encourages parents to pause, reflect, and promise to celebrate the everyday joy a baby brings to a parent’s life – and to pay it forward.  To participate please check out the Facebook page where Johnson’s will host a series of photo contests throughout the rest of the year.  And for every “like” at Facebook.com/johnsonsbaby Johnson’s will donate $1 to March of Dimes.

Disclosure: I will receive a similar Johnson’s package.  All opinions in this post and my messy kitchen are solely my own.

Johnson & Johnson is a brand that my family has used faithfully. It brings back memories of my childhood. I remember my mother using the Johnson’s pink body lotion as well as the yellow head-to-toe body wash. Fast forward to today, I use these products on my little girls as well. I’ve had many moments of joy with my girls. The greatest moment of joy that I’ve had is the birth of my first. WOW, what a miracle! I never knew how much you could love a small little being instantly and immensely. It is such a tender moment that neither my husband or I will ever forget. I loved my first one so much, I didn’t know if it would be possible to love another just as much. The instant my second baby was born, I immediately fell in love. Johnson & Johnson is a brand I trust. The first baths included their products, the pink lotions and yellow body wash. It is hard being a mother some days, but the aroma of the Johnson pink baby lotion brings me back to the birth of my miracles and cuddling my clean newborn at the hospital. It makes a challenging day easier. That is why there is a daily lather of the pink lotion at my house. I love my girls. Making memories with them is the best and I treasure every small moment with them. I love their contagious laughs and giggle! I can never go wrong with hugs and kisses form them. After all, I will only be able to care for them a short period of time, before they grow up and blossom. Also, the Johnson & Johnson Desitin diaper rash cream has been a life savor! I can always count on it working!

love johnsons and johnsons..I keep a body of body wash at the backdoor…after gardening and hanging out they get a washdown with that and the jj- seems like fun to them and they can skip a bath :)

I keep soap at the sink too, we made tortillas this afternoon for a late lunch early dinner- anything to spend time together and create memories. I want to try the naturals line

We are having our first child in a few weeks, so I have to say my most memorable moment so far has been feeling her kick for the firs time. I have a J&J bath set all ready for her upon arrival, and I have used Johnson’s products myself since I was born. Just this morning I used their baby powder after I showered, and I use their baby lotion daily. It’s wonderful for pregnant skin! Thank you for the lovely giveaway.

Your most memorable moment with your kids and include a tip on how you use Johnson’s products:

I use Johnson’s Baby powder on my body before bed. I love feeling fresh. I also use their Baby Lotion to moisturize. My most memorable moment with my kids was at Disney World. It was 9:00 at night, and the Electrical Water Parade went by as we sat in the dark on lounge chairs. It was pure magic, the kids were enchanted.

Our last vacation was one of my most memorable time with our son. We all fell asleep together after a long day at the beach. Just a nice, relaxing time.
I always have Johnson’s baby oil in the shower to exfoliate my legs to make them extra smooth.

My most memorable moment was my sons first word…he said Shad, which is part of our cats name (Shadow). I had been trying for him to say Dad or Da-da for a couple of weeks and out of the blue, he reaches for our cat and says Shad.
I keep J & J baby Lotion on our bathroom shelf and kitchen counter and after washing my hands, I apply a little to help keep my hands from being dry and getting red.
Thanks so much

There have been so many memorable moments with my kids. How would I even pick just one? I’d say the most recent would be the awesome camping trip we just returned home from. It was our first camping trip made as a family. So much fun to watch enjoying the bon fire and getting dirty in the stream.

We came home today and used Johnson’s Buddy Bars. Great soap for even the littlest ones. Love that the soap doesn’t slip out of their hands. Really encourages them to be able to clean themselves.

The most memorable moment recently with the kids is when we went swimming over the weekend and I taught both of the boys to doggy paddle. I was so excited and so were they. The looks on their faces and them saying I did it, I did it. They won’t forget it nor will I.
My tip
I always keep johnson’s baby oil in the bath, its great to rub on your skin after a hot bath to keep it smooth and soft.

My favorite memories with my kids are from us going to Disneyland together. Seeing their excitement and happiness was so freaking fun. My daughter met Cinderella and was beyond happy. My son absolutely loved the Monsters Inc. ride.

After my son takes his bath, we use plenty of Johnson and Johnson lotion. I have always loved the smell and feel of it.

I have so many memorable moment with my daughter, I think the most favorite is the one when she was about 2. It was her first Christmas where she really new what was going on. She had to have a sucker while she opened her presents, and when she discovered the kitty had got into her presents, she got really mad. She started pointing at the present and the kitty saying “keekee bad” I am so grateful I got that moment on tape. So when she gets older and has children we can pull it all out and show them how sweet and adorable their momma was when she was younger. To this day we still use Johnson and Johnson products, I love how they make my skin feel and smell.

I always remember that familiar Johnsons baby shampoo smell from when I was little until now with my own kids. Cannot use Johnsons on my son per the dr because of a allergy, but my daughter was bathed and groomed with Johnsons products. Always used to use the lotion and count her toes and fingers to keep her still while I did it.

My most memorable moment of my son growing up is his first steps. We were actually at a friends baby shower and he was walking around holding onto the chairs and then he let go and took two steps! I will never ever foget the proud feeling I had! We have always loved and used Johnson’s products! Our fave is the Original Baby Shampoo. It has a smell you can recognize anywhere and it just makes you happy!

My most memorable moment is when my mother who had been very sick and was in the hosopital for 3 weeks came home. She was weak and depressed because she was so weak and couldn’t get around like she used to. Her therapist came by with in home exercises she had to do to build her strength up. My 3 year old then watched every move the therapist made and when she was done she stood up and said come on nana I show you and she started doing these exercises. It was so cute and funny to watch her try to do these and she put everything she had into them My mom got such a kick out of it that she started doing it with her and every day my 3 year old would say ok nana let’s kick it and she started doing the exercises with my mom. In know time my mom started to improve and my 3 year old became a pro at the exercises . My tip is to help with pushing back your cuticles rub Johnson’s baby oil into cuticle first to soften it up first.

Immediately after delivery, they laid my baby on my abdomen. He was facing me, eyes squeezed tightly shut, looking so unhappy. Then, he opened his eyes and we just looked at each other. He stopped crying and I started. I knew it was the start of a lifelong journey of unconditional love. There is nothing like it.

As for Johnson’s products… all babies should smell like Johnson’s! I like to mix a little Johnson’s baby lotion into hand gels to make them smell nice and be kinder to our hands.

My kids still use Johnson’s baby shampoo–they love it and don’t have to worry if it gets in their eyes. My favorite moment–well I’m actually a step Mother their Mother is alive and my 3 darlings spend one week with us the next with their Mom etc–every other week for years we live close to each other so it works out as wellas can be expected. We have the kids the same exact amount of time –yet my husband has to also pay child support–she’s remarried and has another 3 children as well. Money for our family is very tight one year we planned our first trip –to Disneyland we were so excited –their Mom decided she didn’t want us to have that first–so she took them to Disneyland the day before our trip that we had planned and paid for over 6 months. We still had an amazing time and my favorite moment took place there, we were riding the train that goes around the park and the guide was sitting right in front of us and he told my girls that they look just like their Mother (meaning me) I blushed and the girls thanked the man and didn’t explain that I wasn’t their Mother–he went on to tell them that they made lovely princesses (they were dressed as princesses with the tall cone hats and all) then said “isn’t your Mommy a princess? she’s not dressed like a princess” and my oldest repled “she’s the queen and queens get to wear anything they want to!”
Made me cry!

So far the most memorable moment I’ve had with my daughter is around Christmas time which is also her Birthday time. She was two years old almost and helping me make cookies and prep for Christmas dinner. She was my little shadow. She also got excited for the tree and all the lights. It was awesome seeing the holidays through her eyes.

I love to use the bedtime lotion on my son and massage him an hour before bedtime to calm him and relax him.

My most memorable moment with my kids was shortly after my dad passed away. We went on vacation to Cabo San Lucas and it was such a sad time for me. One morning while there, I woke up thinking about my dad and instead of being sad, I started to smile. I remember looking at my kids and thinking how my dad would want us to be happy and go on with our lives. He enjoyed life so much and I knew he’d want us to have a good time. It ended up being the best vacation ever and I will always cherish the memories.
Johnson powder was a must on this vacation and it still is. We use it as a shampoo substitute (dry shampoo) as well as on the body.

My children have always spent a lot of time in the kitchen with me. One of the most memorable moments was when my daughter was only about 3 years old. I stepped out of the room to take care of the baby and when I got back to the kitchen my daughter had done her own brand of “cooking”. She had put several slices of bread in a sheet cake pan, poured milk over the top and added LOTS of salt. She wanted to bake it for dinner.
By the way, she is now a great cook.

Thanks for the giveaway…a memorable moment happened when my daughter witnessed a neighbors horse give birth; she stood there watching, transfixed, as the horse gave birth. I will never forget the look of sheer joy & wonder on my daughter’s face when the foal stood up for the first time after several minutes of being attended to by it’s mother.

My daughter is now twelve, but she still uses Johnson’s baby Shampoo.

One of the most memorable times with our girls was the first time we made cookies together. We made a huge mess and the cookies were less than perfect looking but we had a blast and those were the best tasting cookies ever.

I use Johnson and Johnson baby oil nearly every day. I apply it to my skin about 15 mintues before I hop in the shower. Love it!

My most memorable moment with my kids were when we were on vacation in Maine and got up at 5:30AM to walk the dogs along the beach. We saw the most gorgeous sunrise. It was such a great morning. Nature always knocks things into perspective for me. Reminds me of all the little miracles I take for granted on a daily basis. Makes me appreciate my family and the beauty around me. It was just a great moment to share with my family; undescribeable by words I guess.

Last year we took a trip to visit my sister in Ohio. We had the best time on the long road trip. We spent time talking and bonding. We enjoyed visiting our family and spending time together. We use Johnson & Johnson baby oil, baby powder, tearless shampoo and lotion regularly. I love that I do not have to worry about any tears with the shampoo. If you’ve ever got regular shampoo in a child’s eyes, you know how hard it is to get it out and how much pain and distress it causes. A few months ago I had a cold and I was coughing and sneezing all over the place. My toddler thought me sneezing was the funniest thing ever and every time I sneezed he would fake sneeze too and then laugh and laugh. Well, he aparently loves it so much, that he’s still fake sneezing all the time and adding sound effects and raspberries to the ends and even starting off with long drawn out aaaaah aaaaaaaaaah aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah… its pretty cute and its probably something that we’ll share forever. We take Johnson’s bubble baths and he fake sneezes into the bubbles sending them flying all over the place. Its a lot of fun, albeit a bit messy :)

The most memorable moment with my son was when I got to breastfeed him in the NICU. He had low blood sugar level because I had gestational diabetes and I finally got to be alone with him in the feeding room. I remember crying and telling him that this it was how it was supposed to be because everyone was watching me hold him before that with all those doctors and nurses around. I never wanted to let him go…I still don’t!
I use Johnson’s Baby Oil to remove cradle cap! Works like a charm!
