Hoy estoy sorteando un DVD bilingüe que estoy segura le gustará a tus niños.  Family Fiesta es una de las últimas producciones de Baby Abuelita.  ¿Has escuchado sobre esta compañía?

Baby Abuelita fue creada por Carol Fenster y Hilda Argilagos Jiménez, dos mamás trabajadoras que comparten el deseo de preservar tradiciones hispanas, y lo cual hacen a través de muñecos, libros y DVD’s bilingües.  Su galardonada colección es también usada en varias currículas escolares como herramienta para enseñar a los niños vocabulario en español y tradiciones latinas.

Los muñecos, Abuelita, Abuelito, y recientemente el nieto Javier, entre otros, cantan canciones tradicionales en español, y los DVD’s  cuentan tiernas historias llenas de música y magia.  Tú puedes ver toda la collección aquí.

Mis  hijos y yo  hemos estado viendo el DVD Family Fiesta.  Mis hijos bailan, cantan y disfrutan de las historias, y para mí es un poco nostálgico porque me recuerda a mis abuelitos y las canciones que aprendí en mi infancia.  Me da mucha alegría que ahora pueda compartir esto con mis niños.  Hoy estabamos viendo uno de los tres episodios del DVD cuando empezaron a cantar “Los Pollitos Dicen” una canción que me encantaba de niña y que le canté a mi hijo mayor antes de dormir cuando era solo un bebé.  Me sorprendió mucho ver que ¡se acordó de ella!

Baby Abuelita Family Fiesta contiene tres historias: Family Fiesta, Smash, and Dress Up.  Cada historia presenta a los abuelitos y a sus nietos jugando, cantando y enseñando valores familiares.  Contenido extra en el DVD incluye canciones para cantar con ellos y tarjetas para enseñar inglés y español.  ¡Tus hijos estarán encantados!

Today I’m giving away a bilingual DVD I’m sure your kids will enjoy.  Family Fiesta is one of the latest Baby Abuelita productions.  Have you heard of Baby Abuelita?

Baby Abuelita was founded by Carol Fenster and Hilda Argilagos Jimenez, two working moms who shared a goal to preserve hispanic traditions through bilingual dolls, books, and DVDs.  Their award-winning collection is also used as a tool for teaching kids Spanish vocabulary and Hispanic culture, and is used in a variety of schools and curriculums.

Baby Abuelita dolls like, Abuelita, Abuelito, and the recently launched, toddler boy Javier, among others in the collection, sing traditional hispanic songs. The DVD’s tell sweet stories and are full of music and magic.  You can see the whole collection here.

My kids and I have been watching the Family Fiesta DVD.  My kids dance and sing and enjoy the stories, and I feel cozy inside because it reminds me of my grandparents and my childhood.  It’s so great to hear the sweet songs I learned when I was a child, and I’m so happy to now share them with my boys.  Today we were watching one of the three episodes of the DVD when they starting singing, “Los Pollitos Dicen,” a lullaby I used to sing to my oldest son before bedtime, and I was so surprised when I realized he’d remembered it!!

Baby Abuelita Family Fiesta contains three stories: Family Fiesta, Smash, and Dress Up.  Each story features the abuelitos and their grandchildren playing, singing, and learning family values.  Special Features include sing-alongs and flash cards to teach English and Spanish.  Your little ones are going to love them!
