Dominika Paleta y Campanita / Dominika Paleta and Tinker Bell

ENGLISH VERSION BELOW

SM: ¿Habias hecho doblaje anteriormente?

SM: Dominika, ¿has estado en Disneylandia?

ENGLISH

Last week, I told you about the release in Blu-ray and DVD of the new Disney movie, “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.” Today, I have the pleasure of introducing Dominika Paleta, who lends her beautiful voice as the narrator of the Spanish version of this sweet movie.

Dominika is a Polish-born Mexican actress.  She is the daughter of the famous Polish violinist Zbigniew Paleta and art teacher Barbara Paciorek Paleta, and the sister of actress Ludwika Paleta.

Dominika has developed a successful television career thanks to her great talent. She has starred in telenovelas, TV series, and films, among other projects.  She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Polish. She is married to Uruguayan actor Fabián Ibarra and has two daughters, Maria and Altana.

Dominika generously granted me an interview, so here it is, enjoy:  (translated to English by Silvia Martinez)

SM: Dominika, thank you so much for your time and for giving me the opportunity to interview you about your work on the new Disney movie, “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue,“ for both Mamá Latina Tips and Disneylandia Al Día.

DP: My pleasure.

SM: Is this your first time working on a Disney project?

DP: Yes, it is.  Disney Latino contacted me in Mexico to do the Spanish dubbing for the three fairy movies.

SM: Have you done dubbing in the past?

DP: No, actually not, this is my first time.

SM: And what do you think? Was it hard?

DP: Not at all, it was like when I tell a story to my girls, you know, as a mom, you sit down and create a story and change your voice and express different feelings to your children, my experience with this movie was like that, it was not hard at all, I enjoyed it very much.

SM: And what do your girls think about mommy being the voice of the movie?

DP: Well, they are very excited!

SM: What is your favorite part of the movie?

DP: I don't think I have a favorite part, everything is beautiful to me; however, the song at the beginning is something very exciting to me.

SM: Dominika, have you been to Disneyland?

DP: Yes, I was there not too long ago with my girls.

SM: And what did you think about Disneyland?

DP: I loved it!  I think it is a beautiful world for children and grown ups.   I think….., I don't know, …it seems intact.  The organization, the infrastructure, everything is very impressive, it is the Magic Kingdom, isn't it?

SM: Are you working on other projects with Disney?

DP: No, I don't have more projects with Disney at the moment.  At the end of October I will start a movie in Mexico, and also, at the end of October or first days of November, “La Otra Familia“ (The Other Family), a movie I finished last year will be released.

SM: Great!  Would you like to share a thought with Mamá Latina Tips readers?

DP: Hello everyone, I'm glad hispanics have the opportunity to watch movies in Spanish, please support Spanish projects, watch more Mexican cinema,  ask for more Mexican movies in the United States, and please don't forget this beautiful language that keeps us in touch with our roots.

SM: Thank you for your time Dominika and I wish you much success in your future projects.

DP: Not at all, thanks to you, I am sending you a kiss, goodbye.

Dominika was very accesible and friendly during our interview, I love the way we were able  to chat,  mom to mom, and how we both love watching Disney movies with our children.  I wish her all the success in the world.
