I’m the paper queen! At my house you can find stacks of documents in my bedroom, in my kitchen, in my office.. and honestly it’s making me crazy! Oprah save me! When I lived in Mexico I truly loved the days I got mail, yes I still remember the days when we used to write letters by hand. But I have to say that getting mail in the USA has a totally different feeling. I still remember my mom’s face the first time she came to visit and saw me come in the house with a bunch of papers, and she asked me, “Is that TODAY’s mail?!?! hahahahahaha.
Today I got a netflix movie, two bills, a letter from my mother in law, some coupons and a thousand pages of junk!!!!! and what do I do with all this? Stacks of papers, right! Once a month my hubby and I spend a whole afternoon sorting, recycling, and shredding paper, which is very frustrating for us because we would prefer to have some family time. So we are still trying to figure out a good system for getting away from the big paper monster. My husband says that the best system is to not allow the papers into the house in the first place, which honestly I agree with, however sometimes it’s hard. Like when I get home with the mail in my hand and my kids decide they are hungry, and there it goes, another stack of papers on my dining table!!
